Submitting the Registration Form
Do you like our school and what we have to offer? Are you interested in registering your child at our school? Please fill out the registration form below in a first, non-binding step.
As soon as we have your contact details, we will check the availability of places and get in touch with you. If there is currently no place available in the corresponding grade, we will be happy to add the name of your child to our waiting list.

Consultation with the School Management
We are happy that the educational offer at SIS matches your child's needs. We would like to invite you and your child to an interview with a member of the school management. In preparation for the interview, we will send you an application for admission, which you should fill out completely and return to the school.
During the interview, we will clarify your questions and present our educational concept to you. We will be happy to show you around the school grounds and, if possible, give you an insight into the lessons.
If you are unable to visit us, we are happy to offer you a video conference as an alternative. -
Trial Days
Your child is welcome to experience the SIS environment for one or two days. It is important to us that your child feels comfortable with us – the trial days are a first introduction.
-
Signing the School Contract
After receipt and positive assessment of your application for admission, we will draw up the school contract. Please sign the contract and return it to us.
We look forward to welcoming your child to SIS Germany!

When is the best time to enrol my child?
As we welcome students from both local and internationally mobile families, we accept enrolments all year round. If we have space in a class, new students can join at any time and thus also during the school year.
Experience shows that most children are enrolled in the spring, between February and April, so that they can start the new school year in August or September of the same year. -
From what age can I enrol my child?
The school enrolment age varies from location to location and is between three and five years. We therefore ask you to enquire at the school of your choice. On the following page you will find an overview of our schools in Germany.
-
My child does not speak either or only one of the two school languages German and English. Is enrolment possible?
Yes, enrolment is possible even if a student speaks only one or neither of the two school languages. At SIS Swiss International School, children learn both German and English by immersion, even if their mother tongue is neither German nor English.
To support this, our schools offer German and English courses outside of class or as an intensive course during class time, depending on the school level.
-
Does my child have to pass an entrance exam?
Admission to the SIS Swiss International School takes place at all locations without an entrance examination.
For admission or transfer to one of our secondary schools, proof of secondary school aptitude must be provided. This is usually determined by the school reports of the 4th Year.
SIS Berlin has an integrated secondary school with a subsequent upper school (Gymnasiale Oberstufe). The intermediate school leaving certificate (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) is required for admission to the upper secondary school of SIS Berlin. -
Do SIS schools have waiting lists?
If a year group or class is already full, the SIS schools maintain waiting lists. To secure a place for your child, please enquire about capacity at the school of your choice early on, preferably in the spring.
-
At what point in the process is a place secured for my child?
As soon as we have received the enrolment fee, a place is reserved for your child. The enrolment fee can be found on the respective school's price list.
